Living right next to the home ground of an amateur football team most definitely comes with it’s drawbacks – namely the constant barrage of wayward shots, crosses and defensive clearances that come hurtling over the garden fence.

Utterly fed up at having her begonias crushed for the Nth time, one disgruntled neighbour of French amateur side Tarbes FC decided to protest by taking a stand – or rather, a sit – slap, bang in the middle of their match on Sunday afternoon…

According to Puk & Match 65, the Tarbes players and staff attempted to negotiate with the perturbed woman, who stood – sorry, sat – her ground for a full 45 minutes before the match was simply abandoned entirely.

Whether or not Tarbes will now be installing a row of 50-foot nets around the perimeter of their ground remains to be seen.

Still, tres encroyable.
