Mini match report: Simon Cox scored from close range in the 94th minute to earn West Brom a thoroughly deserved point at the Hawthorns. The visitors, with Steve Gallen and Marc Bircham in temporary charge after The Jim Magilton Incident, went ahead through a Jonas Olsson own goal on 56 minutes. The enigmatically named Kaspars Gorkss then doubled Rangers’ lead with a header after a clanger by Dean Kiely, before Jerome Thomas and finally Cox spared the home side’s blushes. The point sees QPR move up to 12th in the table, while West Brom remain second, now seven points behind leaders Newcastle United. All in all this was a very good result for troubled Rangers, but it’s no fun to be 2-0 up in the second half and not come away with all three points.
