We’re in League Two for this week’s Around the Grounds, popping our heads around the door at Cheltenham Town’s Whaddon Road (or the Abbey Business Stadium), the Robins’ fourth and current home (since 1932), a stadium they have shared with nomadic amateur side Gloucester City since 2010 after the latter were forced out of their ground by severe flooding three years prior.
Whaddon Road is built on the former site of The Berkeley Hunt kennels and, as things stand, has a maximum capacity of approximately 7,200 (3,000 or so of which is standing) with wonderful views of the Cotswold Hills off in the distance out over the terrace roofs…
