October 1964: England’s Terry Venables, 21 at the time, warms up in preparation for an international friendly against Belgium at Wembley (the match finished 2-2). Flexible, was El Tel.

    Eh, that’s clearly not Wembley. No track, no twin towers. White Hart Lane perhaps?

    I didn’t say he was warming up AT Wembley folks. He’s warming up FOR the match at Wembley, at another ground clearly. Any ideas?

    That looks to me like stamford bridge, and that makes sense as he was playing for chelsea at the time.

    Definitely Stamford Bridge — note the weather vane featuring George Hillsdon, legendary Chelsea and England forward c1908. He scored 8 times for England in 14 games, got mustard-gassed in Flanders and when he died in 1941, only four people came to the funeral. But he lives on, keeping an eye on the pitch at Stamford Bridge.
