Ipswich reached the last four of the Carling Cup with a 1-0 defeat of Prem opponents West Brom at Portman Road. What has happened to the Baggies after all that early-season promise? They had a real chance of winning this pot too.

Grant Leadbitter scored the only goal, from the penalty spot, after Graham Dorrans brought down Carlos Edwards in the box.

Town keeper Brian Murphy made a superb one-handed save from Pablo Ibanez late in the game to ensure the win for Roy Keane’s team, which has struggled for form in the Championship of late.

However, Ipswich face a much tougher task in the semis, where they face hot favourites Arsenal. As Keane said after this match, it’s the tie none of the other three clubs wanted. I smell an Arsenal vs West Ham final.

RdiM made 9 changes to the team that played Everton – listened to Tony ‘Bomber’ Brown’s commentary on the radio – he was going fully mental at what sounded like a crock of hideousness!! Fortune wtf!!!Looks like the club weren’t prepared to risk our main chaps out there with the Magpies at home on saturday…but jaysus, the poor buggers who travelled for that!! (They want the club to refund their tickets!!)
