It’s official, relegation threatened Swansea are putting their faith in Francesco Guidolin as the man to deliver the club from relegation this season.

The experienced Italian coach, who gained something of a reputation for encouraging fast, free-flowing football at Udinese, will be working alongside interim manager Alan Curtis until the end of the season – though it will be Guidolin who has final say over team selection, etc.

Bit of a journeyman is our Francesco. Hark at those three successive stints at Palermo. Bloody madness..

That said, if there’s one thing Swansea have done well in recent years, it’s diligent recruitment from abroad.

Let’s see how this one pans out shall we?

He’s a very good manager, with excellent football. but his teams have a tendency to drop off later in the season, much like Beilsa.
