As featured on the club’s official website, local painter and Roma fan Fabrizio Birimbelli has produced a series of work that sees a whole batch of Giallorossi stars re-imagined as historical figures of yore.

The likes of Francesco Totti, Daniele De Rossi et al have all been captured in classic renaissance oil portrait style, dressed in their military finery and staring defiantly off into middle distance.

Cracking stuff, though we’re not overly sure De Rossi will be enamoured with his likeness.

Should you wish, there are many more portraits to amble through over at the artist’s official Instagram gallery.
