Couldn’t really find a place for these three beauties from last night’s Europa League to-ings and fro-ings seeing as though Mehmet Topal had already claimed goal of the night with his screamer against Stoke, so these little pearls have got themselves their very own post.

First up; Taison’s opening goal for Metalist against Red Bull Salzburg (not an ‘excellent’ goal in and of itself but, coming after 19 seconds as it did, it’s now the joint-second fastest goal ever scored in the Europa League – which we feel is definitely worthy of a mention)

Secondly; Ola John’s deft lob over Ciprian Tatarusanu, Steaua Bucharest vs FC Twente…

Lastly, and our favourite effort of the three; Andre Santos’ exquisite outside-of-the boot curler, Legia Warsaw vs SPORTING LISBON…

Mmmm. Hot, buttered goals.
