Pies are not particularly enamoured with the whole vainglorious craze, but we guess this is fairly cool if you’re into the whole ‘freestyle’ thing.

Here’s world champion kick-upper Andrew Henderson doing his admittedly impressive, though flouncy and largely pointless thing – all the while wearing a pair of goggles rigged with a camera to present his skills to you in a POV/first-person kind of way to plug a ‘zipwire trip’ over the Wembley pitch (eh?)…

I can’t be the only one wondering whether he’s actually any good at ‘proper’ football…

Needs Eric Morecambe to appear at the end and say “rubbish”.

@kingshola He’s probably better than the average joe, like park guys like me, but he’d probably get raped by the pro’s. Especially the Roy Keane likes of this world.

Freestyle has no relation to “proper football” as you call it. Only connection is that it uses a soccer ball too, nobody has ever said freestyle will help you become a better player on the pitch. Andrew gets to travel the world and makes a living off of doing performances so it’s about as “largely pointless” as any musician or other performer who makes a living off of a skill they have learned
