In which Figueirense’s No.10 finds a truly novel and unique (to the best of our knowledge) method for blocking low freekicks while lining up to face a set piece from Palmeiras’ Jorge Valdivia during the Brazilian Campeonato Serie B match between the two sides on Saturday evening…
They call him “Plankinho”.
Sadly, for Plankinho and his erstwhile Figueirense teammates, the anti-freekick routine didn’t prove to be too useful at keeping Valdivia at bay, with the Chilean later scoring the winner in a 3-2 win for Palmeiras.
