Soccer - UEFA Euro 2015 Under 21's - Qualifying - Pool One - England U21's v Lithuania U21's - Portman Road

England’s U21 string breezed to a 5-0 win over Lithuania at Portman Road, with two of the Premier League’s young flavour-of-the-month entrants for October, Ravel Morrison and Saido Beharino, each nabbing braces while Southampton midfielder Jamie Ward-Prowse also got in on the act with his first goal for the Young Lions.

Morrison put in a man-of-the-match shift, with his second goal of the evening proving to be the highlight as the 20-year-old West Ham midfielder scythed through the Lithuanian defence from around about the halfway line before sitting the keeper down with a jinky step-over and rolling the ball into the back of the net…

Hell, it looks even better in GIF form…

Sadly, we also got a brief flash of the “old Ravel” too when he and Wilfried Zaha had a little barney in the middle of the pitch during which mini-slaps and pushes were traded before Nathan Redmond stepped in and prised the pair apart…

Seems he’s still trying to find that balance.

As much as he’s hot property now, I still get the feeling it’ll all go tits up with him, especially if he ever gets snapped up by one of the big boys again and the money and fame start going to his head. Shame really as he looks like he could be awesome if he had his head straight.

Hope he finds that balance. His potential has always been there, just the attitude that’s lacking.
