Gervinho has blossomed again since leaving Arsenal a couple of seasons ago, with the dome-headed attacker superb for Roma in Serie A and also providing a potent cutting edge up front for Ivory Coast.
In a key Africa Cup of Nations clash with Sierra Leone , the forward inspired the Elephants to a 2-1 home win after initially going 1-0 down. Impressing throughout, Gervinho also netted a superb winning goal on 68 minutes after a powerful run at the heart of Sierra Leone’s defence. Nice work from the man who never quite made it at the Emirates.
