France bounced back from their shock Women’s World Cup defeat by Colombia to batter Mexico 5-0 in Ottawa, in a win sees Les Bleues top Group F ahead of England.

France impressed throughout by Amadine Henry’s long-range strike was the pick of the goals. A fine effort which topped off a fine team performance.

This is why I don’t watch the women’s WC. Look at that defense! I play harder in my weekly pick up scrimmages for fucks sake.

  2. squiggle says:

To my uneducated eye the defense looks much like those in the men’s game when someone scores a good, unexpected long-distance goal.

I was glad to see France putting the Colombian result behind them pretty emphatically.
