Wrexham’s Dominic Vose produced a moment of magic on Saturday in his side’s 4-0 National League home win against Gateshead. The visitors were already a man and three goals down when the 21-year-old Vose, a former Fulham and West Ham youth player, netted his second of the game with some style.

Picking up the ball midway inside the Gateshead half, Vose slalomed his way past at least five players before firing past ‘keeper Sam Russell. The magnificent goal had more than a hint of Lionel Messi about it, not to mention Thierry Henry’s famous goal against Liverpool at Highbury in 2004…

The results sees the Dragons go eighth in the table, two points off the play-off places while Gateshead are three points further back in 11th.
