It’s fair to suggest that Maidenhead United striker Dave Tarpey is on a bit of a hot streak at the moment.

Indeed, the prolific forward scored his 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th goals of the Conference South campaign so far in a 5-0 obliteration of Dartford on Saturday afternoon.

While his first goal of the game was a delightful little chip over the goalkeeper, the second – scored with just 29 minutes on the clock – was a world class belter.

Latching on to a long goal-kick, Tarpey backheeled the ball forwards over his own head, beating two men on the turn before slotting a finish past the oncoming ‘keeper once again (at the 2:36 mark)…

Remarkably, the Dartford spanking was the third occasion on which Tarpey has helped himself to four goals in one game this calendar year, having finished last season with 22 goals to his name despite playing on the left wing for the majority.

When you’re on form, you’re on form.
