Carlos Tevez has scored three goals in his first five appearances for Boca Juniors since returning to his boyhood club from a half-arsed sojourn in China.

However, despite the decent return, Boca are reported to be “furious” with their veteran striker after learning that Tevez recently sustained an injury while taking part in an unsanctioned prison kickabout. Yep.

According to Clarin Sports (via The Mirror), the 34-year-old was visiting his half-brother Juan Alberto Martinez at the Bouwer maximum security prison in Cordoba, where the latter is serving a 16-year sentence for armed robbery.

During the visit, Tevez was talked into playing in a “20-minute match” that culminated in him straining his soleus muscle (calf).

He was then forced to explain the situation to Boca, who were – shall we say – less than impressed by the turn of events.

The Argentinian side have a run of three matches coming up in the space of seven days, all of which Tevez is set to miss.

Oopsy daisy.
