If you think that football delivered unto you a rough weekend, then spare a thought for the Plymouth Argyle fan who not only made an 800-mile round trip to watch his side lose against Sunderland, but also felt the full force of local bias during the half-time entertainment.

Tasked with racing a Black Cats fan from the half-way line into the penalty area and scoring to win a prize, the Plymouth supporter fell to a cynical trip in the build-up, only to see the foul go completely unpunished.

The Sunderland fan then tucked his shot into the open goal as the poor, wronged Argyle fan was left to remonstrate with the non-existent officials…

Life’s cruel, kid.

Goals from Lee Cattermole (his fifth of an incredibly prolific season!) and George Honeyman consigned Plymouth to defeat at the Stadium of Light, leaving them just four points above the League One relegation zone.

  1. Hank Moody says:

Great. I just hope that the clubs see the humor of it instead of issuing bans to the two well intended lads.
