West Bromwich Albion 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur – Premier League – 31st January 2015
Tottenham’s star men this season, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane, were at it again on Saturday, with the in-form duo gunning down Tony Puil’s West Brom.
Playmaker Eriksen opened the scoring on six minutes, courtesy of a decent free-kick which evaded a rather flat-ffoted Ben Foster, before Kane doubled the visitors’ advantage 10 minutes later. As the half wore on, the hosts did go close with Craig Dawson’s header hitting the fram eof the goal. However, after the break, Spurs sealed the deal when Kane netted from the penalty spot after a Joleon Lescott handball.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men go fifth, just two points off a Champions League berth while West Brom, after suffering their first defeat under Pulis, are 15th, just three points above the drop-zone.
