Never a club to downplay their achievements, Spurs have released their Capital One Cup song ahead of their Wembley clash with Chelsea on March 1st.

The tune ‘Hot Shot Tottenham’ is a re-working of the club’s 1987 FA Cup anthem which was performed by Chas & Dave and the players. However, ‘Ledley and the Kings’ (yes, really) have revamped that song by adding adroit references to, among others, Harry Kane and Nacer Chadli. In ’87, the Lilwhites would go on to lose to Coventry City. Spurs fans will no doubt be hoping this ditty isn’t cursed…

Here’s the original, as performed by Chas & Dave and the Spurs squad on Blue Peter, and introduced by the sadly departed Caron Keating..

Expect a few DVDs on the club’s League Cup campaign as well (‘they’ve got more DVDs than Sainsbury’s’ as Chas & Dave would say).
