Dele Alli was the star of the show at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night, with the Spurs midfielder scoring twice in his side’s 2-0 win against league leaders Chelsea.
The two goals came either side of the break and were very similar, with Alli heading home from two Christian Eriksen crosses, both helped by some feeble Chelsea marking.

Eden Hazard had Chelsea’s best chances in the London derby, but Tottenham were well worth their victory, with Alli netting his third brace in a row in the Premier League.
Along with Alli, Victor Wanyama was superb in the centre of midfield, with the Kenyan more than a match for N’Golo Kanté.
The result saw Chelsea fail to break the record for the most consecutive wins in a single top-flight season (Arsenal in 2001/02 also managed 13). However, the Blues still lead the Premier League by five points, with Liverpool second.
As for Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs, they jump above Arsenal into fourth place, seven points off the top.
What a title race this is turning out to be!
