Tottenham produced a dramatic comeback to secure a last-gasp win against League Two Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday at White Hart Lane.

The visitors took a shock lead against a mix-and-match Spurs side on 23 minutes when Paul Hayes, who had already hit the woodwork, fired home courtesy of a fine volley.

Hayes then doubled Wycombe’s lead, converting from the penalty spot on 36 minutes.

It took until the hour-mark for the Lilywhites to get themselves back into the game, with Son Heung-min scoring via a deflection.

A Vincent Jansson penalty drew the Premier League side level after the Dutch striker himself was felled in the box.

Despite seeing their 2-0 lead wiped out, Wycombe didn’t crumble, instead taking the lead once again courtesy of a header from sub Garry Thompson on 83 minutes.

However, Spurs would once again come from behind, with sub Dele Alli saving his side at the death.

Then, seven minutes into injury time and with almost the last kick of the game, South Korean attacker Son would score again, with his goal-bound effort helped in by a defender.

That dramatic last-gasp goal saw Spurs book their place in the fifth round, although Gareth Ainsworth and Wycombe can take pride in their display, despite the cruel ending.
