Tottenham have announced an exciting new development as work continues apace to turn White Hart Lane inside-out and create a vast new 56,000-capacity stadium upon the footprint of their old ground.

Indeed, the club have proudly revealed that the new White Hart Lane will feature a pioneering playing surface design that will allow the stadium to house both a proper grass football pitch and a synthetic American football pitch – all important when chasing that NFL dollar.

The plastic NFL pitch will sit permanently in the basin of the stadium, while the grass pitch will be rolled out from underneath the stands in three modular strips in the space of around 25 minutes…

What a bloody faff.

Can’t wait for that first ‘as yet unexplained but unfortunately incredibly serious’ ankle injury to crop up.

In fact, we might get a sweepstake going ahead of time.

Looks neat. Can’t wait for all the Armoured Wankball! Hope the ‘false-pitch’ has good drainage or the astroturf will be a mess after a few weeks of rain.

Just to clarify, only about half of NFL teams play on artificial turf.
