Adam Lallana was sent off during Liverpool U23s clash with Tottenham on Monday night, with the England man reacting badly to a challenge from youngster George Marsh.
The 30-year-old Lallana was caught by Marsh in an aerial challenge on 63 minutes, but his reaction was rather unbecoming of a senior pro.
Grabbing Marsh around the throat, Lallana pushed the teenager’s head downwards before players from both sides got involved.
Danny Ings did his best to calm down his teammate, who trudged down the tunnel after seeing red for the over-reaction.

Lallana has endured a frustrating season with the Reds, with his season plagued by injury.
However, rather than accelerate his return to the first-team, Lallana’s hot-headed appearance against Tottenham in the Premier League 2 could see him on the end of a three-match ban.
As for the game itself, Liverpool would lose 1-0, having gone down to nine men late on when George Johnston picked up a second yellow.
