If you thought Tottenham’s new kits were bad, wait until you see what their goalkeepers have to wear…

Much debate on Pies yesterday about Puma’s controversial new Spurs kits. At time of posting, more than 1,500 of you had rated the kits, with 49% voting for NASTY. Good call, people.
Football Shirt Culture has a couple of leaked images of Tottenham’s new goalkeeper kits, and they’re just as bad as the outfield kits, if not worse – Heurelho Gomes looks like some sort of enormous gecko. The grey kit, as modelled by Carlo Cudicini, is not quite so bad, but it’s still an eyesore. Puma, you really have to burn this template. As one reader said, Tottenham is not the only club to have been burdened with this design. Feyenoord fans, for example, are not best pleased with their new kits.
Anyhoo, you know the drill. Rate the kits after the jump…

  1. Louwrens says:

From the front, those silly v-neck lines kinda make it look like Gomes is wearing a hoodie. No?

  2. Ollie says:

Louwrens, that was my first thought (don’t know why I didn’t mention it in the post). And the sort of hoodie you wouldn’t be seen dead wearing.

  3. Richard says:

Like the black one, others suck ass

  4. Zedy says:

Shouldn’t there be a rule against wearing green on a football pitch? Especially grass-green, it’s hideous!

  5. ChrissMari says:

dunno I kinda like ugly goal keepers kits of yore. good to see them coming back

  6. prior says:

poor old gomesy… this top is not going to do much for his confidence. Though he is such a nutter he probably going to enjoy it.
    “timmmy”………”gommeesssy”

  7. Billiospur says:

Oh Dear Daniel yet another faux pas!
as a designer pumas template looks wrong
the new kit is not going to sell
a classic club colour……made to look like someone else
    leeds!
    wake up!

  8. justin says:

when you hover the cursor over the images it says they are adidas kits :-D

  9. shaun says:

Got to say… these kits are nasty… I reckon either a gooner or a spammer designed them… definately not a spurs supporter… what a pile of dog shite!!

  10. Enorme Nuez says:

I’m not entirely bothered by the new kit; however the brush stroke thing on the front could at least be in conjunction with the kit itself. Feyenoord at least used the brush stroke properly on their home kit.
We on the otherhand have a mish-mash of colours that we have used in the past thrown together.
Does anyone know when our contract is up with Puma?

  11. JON says:

The keepers tops are actually nice…still hoping the offensive yellow stipes on the home top are a hoax!

  12. matt says:

just glad to see Gomez in the photo – might mean he’s staying

  13. HarryHosk says:

A green goalkeeper’s kit? Whatever next?
Spurs – the Lillywhites – wearing a white kit? Crazy or what?

  14. Chicken Billy-ani says:

The playing kits are horrible but the GK kits are the best we’ve had for years! Bring back Ian Walker’s jester outfit (blue and orange stripes) and you’ll be onto a winner!

  15. Mr Naf says:

im thinking of wearing the home shirt at my wedding!

  16. Mr Redknapp says:

since ive been here ive seen some crap but this takes the biscuit!

  17. Brendan says:

I didn’t like the outfeild kits, but GK kits are meant to be quirky and stand-out a bit, so I’m ok with them – but overall I think puma should ************************** off! after this poor attempt at sportswear design.

  18. lammy says:

hope we dont win the leauge wearing that cheap crap, nearly as bad as some that 80’s scouse stuff

  19. James says:

What is wrong with you lot. Kits are kits they change them every year and you lot always moan and groan about them and then end up owning all three.
Designed by a Gooner!?!?!? What a prick

  20. Andy says:

Whats the matter with you lot? I admit, Puma have a way to go yet before Armani or Gucci start shaking in their boots, but the colour’s pretty damn nice – 80’s retro i’d say! What would you prefer? Pink! Or perhaps a delightful shade of pastel orange maybe? It’s the best looking GK strip in the last 6-7 seasons for sure!
