“Do I wanna go Hull City NO. Do I wanna go stoke NO do I wanna go sunderland YES so stop f****** around levy.”
Dazza Bent’s already infamous Tweet seems to have had a positive effect. The striker did get his “dream” move to Mackemland, and so avoided a one-way trip to hell Hull/Stoke. And look how happy he is to have made the £15m move.

Bent admitted that his unsubtle Twitter activity may have helped the deal go through. He said:
“In the long run it seems like it has done the trick but at the same time I was disappointed at the way it came out. Normally we tend to keep our mouths shut and everybody does the talking around us. I just wanted to come to Sunderland. I am delighted to be here and I can’t wait to move forward.”
Bent gets a lot of bad press and stick from fans, but he always scores goals and he’ll do the same for Sunderland. OK, £15m is a little over the odds but I reckon he’ll be good for at least 12 goals in the league this season. And if that helps keep Sunderland away from the drop zone, then it’s money well-spent.
