‘I’ve Never Heard Nothing At All’ – Harry Redknapp Mauls English Language, Rejects Chelsea Link

By Chris Wright

When asked by Sky Sports News about the whispy rumours (and they are just rumours at this point) that he may be approached to take over from the recently-deposed Carlo Ancelotti at Stamford Bridge yesterday, Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp sort-of-not-quite distanced himself from the speculation, leaving the door notably ajar.

Well, he can dream can’t he?

Said ‘Arry:

“Well I have got a great job at Tottenham, things are going well for me. I have had a couple of great years it couldn’t have gone better for me there.

“I haven’t heard anything from Chelsea that’s for sure, no one has ever mentioned Chelsea to me.

“It’s not the first I have heard of it, someone said to me today your name got mentioned on TV, well I said I’ve never heard nothing at all so it’s all news to me.”

Harry Redknapp 1-0 The English Language (Redknapp wins via submission)

Now, we all know that our ‘Arry isn’t one to talk about other people’s clubs, but Chelsea are certainly a top, top side and definitely the kind of t’riffic club that would fit in well on his CV.

Speak English to me, ‘Arry. I thought this country spawned the fucking language, and so far nobody seems to speak it.

I really don’t see a problem in what he’s said, especially considering what all the chavs in this country shit out of their mouths.

    well said Dave!

Just ask your critics how much they get paid a week Harry!

Everybody loved it when Enry Cooper talked like that, God rest his soul.

We should care about how our language is spoken. Why would you not care?

Surely, not being able to have a decent grasp of your mother tongue is not acceptable.

We should not have to sink to the lowest level as annon backs up, we should be seeking to improve our levels of understanding.

I’ve never heard nothing means at he has heard something. Taking it in the modern uninformed sense suggests he has not heard anything. Confusing isn’t it?

Lets get some clarity back into our speech.

Does anyone speak the Queens English?, lets face it people on here would take the pi$$ out of anyone who speaks with an Oxford accent as well.
Harry speaks the language of the region where he spent his youth, there are no heirs and graces with the guy which to me makes him normal, idiots spout their puke just to have a bitchy gripe on here…..typical English mentality of not allowing a guy to be himself.

    thank you sid… agree 100%
