According to the Star (I know, I know), Arsenal have asked Barcelona about the availability of 19-year-old striker Bojan Krkic.
Good idea, Arsene – what Arsenal really need is another tiny young forward who can be served up as a starter to the likes of Chris Samba, Nemanja Vidic and Abdoulaye Faye.
Krkic is a very talented fox in the box – more so than Eduardo, who sadly looks like he might never fully recover from his broken leg – but surely Arsenal should be looking for a big man to complement their array of miniature forwards?
Someone like Emile Heskey or Carlton Cole would work well in tandem with Arshavin, for example. Hell, even Bobby Zamora could do some damage in the box, just to create chances for more skilful players (i.e. everyone else).
Of course, with the benefit of hindsight, Wenger should have re-signed Nicola Anelka from Man City five years ago, but hey, that ship has sailed.
