West Ham have seen their huge £100,000-a-week wage offer to Real Madrid striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy turned down as the Dutchman isn’t keen on returning to The Premier League.
New owners David Gold and David Sullivan were apparently keen to sign the ‘special’ player and were willing to break the bank to do so, but it looks like the veteran hitman may opt for a move to the Bundesliga instead – with Hamburg SV now looking most likely to secure Van Nistelrooy’s signature.
The Hammer’s may also lose out to Hamburg in the race to sign AC Milan frontman Klaas-Jan Huntelaar on loan, as the German team look set to sign the 25 year old forward up for the remainder of the season.
