“Here, let me help you become a top player”

More Transfer Balls now as the Sun tells us that Chelsea will let Arsenal sign Petr Cech so long as they send Theo Walcott or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the other way.

Perhaps Jose Mourinho plans to play Alex in goal as Cech’s replacement?

Or was that Keiran Gibbs? We forget. It’s an easy mistake to make…

Anywho, the problem with the Blues’ bluster is that Cech and his family wants to stay in London, and Arsenal with their Champions League schedule and a mid-sized accountant in goal as competition for the No.1 spot, offer the best option of that and a fulfilling career.

A mystery Stamford Bridge source tells the Sun:

“Arsene Wenger wants a top keeper from us, Petr Cech. Well in exchange we want Walcott or Oxlade-Chamberlain.

“They may not be in the Arsenal team but we are convinced Jose Mourinho could make them into top players again.”

Telling the pair (one of whom is injured; the other returning from a long spell in the casualty ward) they are not ‘top players’ is a charm offensive with the stress very much on the offensive part.

The Sun then reasons:

Chelsea’s interest in England stars Walcott, 26, and Oxlade-Chamberlain, 21, is a sign they are cooling on wantaway Raheem Sterling.

It is? We just thought it was Chelsea being bolshy as per.
