With a move to Turkish side Antalyaspor reportedly a whisker from going through, Samuel Eto’o has been busy saying his goodbyes after a whistle-stop year in Serie A with Sampdoria.

However, rather than going through the rigmarole of penning a fresh open letter to thank the “warm, passionate and affectionate” Samp fans for their support over the last 12 months, Eto’o simply dug out the letter he penned to the “warm, passionate and affectionate” Everton fans last summer, changed the names around a bit and sent it to print…

    Seems fair enough to me. If he even speaks English it’s certainly not his first language. Did he really write the Sampdoria letter In English? If so why not copy the last one?

    It’s not as if any Sampdoria fans will gave read the Everton letter.

    Yeah because he couldn’t ask the club to translate his poor, self-made English speech into proper, well-written Italian. It shows he doesn’t respect fans enough for 10 minutes worth of work. It’s pathetic.
