He was spotted hanging around the Britannia like a dead Jedi at the weekend, but Xherdan Shaqiri is now a officially Stoke City player – although he doesn’t look overly convinced about the whole thing, does he?
Anyway, Stoke have confirmed the Swiss winger’s arrival from Inter Milan for a club record fee of £12million this very afternoon.

The former Bayern Munich man has signed a whopping five-year deal at the Britannia and becomes the fifth former Champions League winner in Stoke’s squad (along with Bojan Krkic, Marko Arnautovic, Marc Muniesa and Ibrahim Afellay) – as many as Chelsea and only one behind Manchester United as far as the Premier League goes.
How about that? Quite a revamp Mark Hughes is overseeing at the Potters.
