The deal is done. Chelsea have signed themselves a new left-back in the shape of Abdul Rahman Baba – just hours after going down 3-0 against Manchester City at the Etihad.
The Blues have handed Bundesliga side Augsburg a reported €25million for the privilege, with the 21-year-old Ghanaian international signing a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.
Both clubs have made the news official this evening, with Chelsea opting for a particularly flattering photo of their new man…

Baba is a full-back of the “flying” variety who will most likely provide cover for auxiliary first-choice left-back Cesar Azpilicueta to begin with.
Rather pleasingly, he began his career in his native Ghana playing for these guys…
