‘Tis the end of an era at Crystal Palace today with the news that Glenn Murray has joined Premier League newcomers Bournemouth on a permanent deal.
Murray’s goals helped catapult the Eagles up into the top flight a couple of seasons ago but the 31-year-old striker has found prolonged first-team action a little harder to come by since the aforementioned promotion.

The fee involved could reportedly rise as high as £5million should certain criteria be fulfilled.
Murray’s move looks like it will be the first of a mini-exodus at Selhurst Park, with fringe players such as Dwight Gayle, Barry Bannan (Sheffield Wednesday on loan) and Joe Ledley (West Brom or Cardiff) also set to follow him out of the door.
