After what feels like months of dilly-dallying, it’s now official: Watford have confirmed that Odion Ighalo has been flogged off to the Chinese Super League.
Having spent 2014/15 and the first half of 2015/16 scoring for fun, the goals have dried up dramatically for Ighalo since then – netting just thrice in his last 37 outings.
So with that, perhaps six months later than they really should have, the Hornets have flogged the Nigerian striker to something called Changchun Yatai…
#watfordfc confirms the sale of Odion Ighalo to Changchun Yatai.
Thanks for the memories, Odion!

The fee? Around £20million, if BBC Sport are to be believed – not a bad little mark-up on the £1.7million that Watford paid Udinese for his services some two-and-a-half years ago.
