Everton have sealed a deal to sign prodigious 19-year-old forward Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side KAS Eupen.
Not so very long ago it was reported that Arsenal were within a whisker of getting him on board, but Onyekuru has today posted a photo of himself standing in front of Everton livery on his official Instagram account.
The Toffees are yet to officially confirm the transfer, but it’s being widely reported that the £7million deal will see Onyekuru return to Belgium on loan next season, specifically with Anderlecht.
Eupen’s Nigerian wunderkind finished as joint-top scorer in the Jupiler League last season, notching 22 goals in a team that only managed to score 40 goals overall.
Another one for Arsene’s ever-lengthening list of ‘nearlies’.
