fistonmanuella.jpgLeague One outfit Millwall are ready to offer a trial to mdifielder Fiston Manuella, who was jailed for two months earlier this season for headbutting an opponent. The Angolan-born player was sent down in August last year for headbutting Dunstable Town’s Marc Kefford while playing for Staines Town in September 2005.At the time, Manuella told police: “I struck out because I thought Kefford was going to hit me. He called me a mug and said I was rubbish and no good at football.” Kefford had allegedly ran 40 yards across the pitch to confront and push Manuella.
The 26-year-old England National XI player is now at Chelmsford City, and Millwall boss Willie Donachie is apparently interested in bringing him to the New Den. He must be concerned that Millwall’s reputation is not as fearsome as it once was!
