West Ham really are the pits when it comes to this transfer malarkey. No matter how hard they try, they just cannot do it properly.
Indeed, it’s being reported that Messrs Davids Gold and Sullivan are willing to “listen to offers” for Javier Hernandez, the man they spent £16million to acquire just five months ago.
Hernandez has scored just four goals since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen, the last of which came back in October.
According to Sky Sports, David Moyes is keen to “re-shape” his unbalanced squad after coming to the conclusion that he has far too many idle strikers and forwards cluttering up the place.
As such, with Diafra Sakho very nearly sold to Crystal Palace already, the Hammers will also entertain offers for Chicharito during the January window.
Sky Sports’ near-infallible sources also suggest that Moyes would be willing to let both Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll go for the right price too, which would basically leave Marko Arnautovic doing all the heavy lifting.
Hmmm.
