After first being reported by several prominent journalists, we know have confirmation from Everton that Theo Walcott’s move from Arsenal has officially gone through.

The winger completed a medical at Finch Farm on Tuesday morning while negotiations over terms were still ongoing, meaning that nothing bar the finer details were left to square away today.

£20million for an unproven youngster with bags of potential? Not a bad deal for the Toffees in today’s market.

Walcott also received a hearty welcome from a mobile app that was popular several years ago…

The state of football, 2018.

Could some one at pies please send me a URL link to an article you wrote about Theo Walcott being described as a home bread maker kit… Having all the raw ingredients but ultimately turning out fairly disappointing. I remember reading it at the time and thinking it was spot on.

Sorry Paul, but I’ve got no memory of this at all – though I’m still willing to claim it!

I’ve searched the Pies archives for ‘Walcott’ and ‘bread maker’ and turned nothing up.

I had a look for it yesterday with no luck as well. I’ll give you guys the credit on this one for sure, it screams pies.

It definitely sounds about right. I know we have an issue with some of the older archived posts not showing up in searches, so it might be down to that.
