It looks like Nabil Fekir’s protracted on/off move to Liverpool is set to roll on for a while longer after his medical introduced a new complication into the matter.
Liverpool were reported to have agreed personal terms with Fekir over a £53million transfer earlier in the week, with leaked images of the 24-year-old undergoing his introductory interview with the club’s in-house television channel, LFC TV, duly making their way onto social media.
However, Lyon then chucked a sizeable spanner in the works on Friday by issuing a statement to vehemently deny that any negotiations had taken place between themselves and their Premier League counterparts.
Les informations sur le transfert de Nabil Fekir sont fausses.

Since then, neither club have made any further comment on the matter, but The Times are suggesting that the move has been thrown into even fresher doubt after concerns were raised over the results of a medical Fekir underwent in Paris.
Nothing is certain, but the speculation concerns red flags being raised about a serious knee injury Fekir suffered in 2015, the surgery he underwent in 2016 to clean the joint and a further knock he suffered to the same knee earlier this year.
Basically, he’s got one foot through the door at Anfield, but his gammy right leg is currently caught in the revolving door.
The wait goes on.
