Having long gone past the point that anybody really cares, Antoine Griezmann has plunged the ongoing masquerade about his future at club level into sheer farce.

According to Spanish radio station Partidazo de COPE, the French forward has recorded two separate video messages – one in which he confirms he’s staying put at Atletico Madrid, the other in which he confirms he’s leaving for Barcelona – and intends on releasing the relevant clip as and when his mind is made up.

Partidazo also published a snippet of one of the videos on Twitter, only to swiftly delete it again.

In the video clip, Griezmann says:

You’ll all be sick of the comments they’re making, about whether I’m going or staying, how much they offer me and how much they don’t.

But the truth is, what I’m going to say now…

At which point it cuts off, leaving us all on tenterhooks until after the World Cup, presumably.

Honestly, Pies don’t think we can bear the Dawson’s Creek-level of tension.
