Sampdoria have announced the arrival of Ronaldo Vieira from Leeds by cheekily making the most of the England U21 midfielder’s rather starry name.
The Serie A side Tweeted a photo of their new name in silhouette, in front of the name ‘Ronaldo’ in big letters, referencing Juventus’ announcement of their signing of another famous Ronaldo…

Cheeky!
The ‘Vieira’ bit of his name isn’t bad either!
The Guinea Bissau-born 20-year-old made 68 appearances for Leeds over the last three seasons, but now faces a new challenge in the Italian top-flight.
Good luck to the young chap, who follows in the footsteps of Trevor Francis, Des Walker, David Platt, Lee Sharpe and Graeme Souness in making the move from the UK to Samp.
Get ready for the good life, Ronaldo!
