Kevin Strootman’s five-year association with Roma has come to an end today with confirmation that the Dutchman has signed for Olympique de Marseille in a deal said to be worth around €25million.

With Roma having added Stephen N’Zonzi, Bryan Cristante, Javier Pastore and Nicolo Zaniolo to their midfield ranks, Strootman was cut loose and allowed to join Marseille, where he will be reunited with former Giallorossi coach Rudi Garcia.

To mark the Dutchman’s arrival, the French club welcomed him on board with a Fortnite-themed reveal…

Not that Pies can profess to knowing the first thing about Fortnite – we think it’s one of these violent bang-bang computer games the youth (and Antoine Griezmann) are playing these days – but that seemed like a decent effort with vaguely impressive production values.

The best part, however, is how thoroughly miserable Strootman looks at the very end of it all.

Face like a wet weekend.
