For a man who was supposedly, by his own admission, “living the dream” of being Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers has wasted little time leaping into negotiations with the first Premier League club to come calling since his move to Scotland.

Leicester City are reported to have opened talks with Rodgers over their managerial vacancy, with several outlets reporting that the 46-year-old may have already left Celtic in order to do so.

According to the Independent, Neil Lennon – sacked by Hibernian at the end of January – is also primed to replace Rodgers at Parkhead, thus reprising the role he held for four years between 2010 and 2014.

Rodgers leaves with the Bhoys on the cusp of a potential historic treble treble, such is the irresistible lure of the Premier League mid-table.
