A student has been receiving good luck messages and player offers intended for Sven Goran Eriksson. Christina Tambaros was assigned the number used by Eriksson when he was England boss after he quit last year. The 17-year-old received messages from former Charlton boss Les Reed and PFA chairman Gordon Taylor, and an offer to take Inter Milan midfielder Aparecido Rodrigues Cesar on a free transfer from his agent.
The text message from the agent said: “I am Cesar’s [Inter Milan] player agent. He can play in all the left side. You don’t have to pay for the transfer. Call me if you are interested. Fabio Iudica.” Christina, a Hull City fan, said: “I wasn’t surprised when I saw Sven was saying no one had rung him. They ring me. I’m hoping David Beckham texts me soon.” [Via The Sun]
