Will someone please, please make a bid for Marseille forward Mamadou Niang. Only to shut him up.

Niang is desperate to leave OM for one last payday but there has been no interest so far.

The 30-year-old Senegalese striker told France Football: “At my age it is perhaps the last chance I will get to have a good challenge abroad.

“I have never hidden the fact that England has always been my dream. But no proposal has come, from England or the United Arab Emirates or anywhere else for that matter.

“I am not offended, just a little bit surprised and disappointed.

“I won’t hide the fact I was expecting a bit more recognition. I thought I had proved I could move to a certain level.”

Aw, bless you Mamadou. Pies will buy you. Will £17.50 and a packet of crisps do? Probably not – the fact he mentioned England and then the UAE shows exactly what’s on his mind, and it’s not trophies.

The man has a good strike rate too. But yeah.. England or UAE – That final payday is what he’s looking for. But if he’s banging in goals it is what it is.
