Richie%20Hart.JPGInverness Caledonian Thistle player Richie Hart has pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine. The 29-year-old was fined £300 after being found in his BMW car with cocaine worth £80 at a Scottish music festival. Police found some of the cocaine on a CD in the car after noticing Hart acting suspiciously. Hart has been suspended by Caley.

Hart is the latest footballer to claim after getting caught that their cocaine use was an isolated incident. His solicitor told the court it was the first and only time he had used the drug. With a Simon Jordan post already on the site, Pies’ legal expenses are already budgeted for this week so we wouldn’t dream of suggesting Hart might have taken the drug before. It does seem strange though that so many footballers are unlucky enough to be caught taking cocaine for the first time. It is most unfortunate for them to give into temptation just the once and end up in trouble…
Check out our Drugs Ban XI headed by Mark Bosnich – the goalkeeper who was driven to become a coke addict by the despair of being sacked for testing positive for cocaine when in fact his drink had been spiked. Or so he claims!
