Slavia Prague, aka the Keystone Cops, had no answer for the invention, youthful exuberance and firepower of Arsenal, who registered their biggest ever home win in Europe. Gooners will have been encouraged by the sparkling performance of Theo Walcott, who scored twice and was involved in much of Arsenal’s best play. The English youngster suddenly seems to have found a new level, and about time too. We all know he has the talent to be a world beater (or a regular in the England team, at least) – he just needs a little confidence to go with it.
All the goals can be watched after the click – watch out for the lovely move that led to Arsenal’s sixth goal, scored by the irresistable Cesc Fabregas…
