“Let’s waste time, chasing Kjaers…”

Several reports emanating from Germany (via the Daily Mail) this morning are suggesting that Danish centre-half Simon Kjaer, who only joined Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg a couple of months ago, is set for a shock £12.5 million move to Chelsea and may complete the whirlwind switch before the weekend is out.

The Mail reckon that Chelsea only enquired about Kjaer’s availability on the off-chance, after finally ‘seeing the Luiz’ and realising that Benfica’s £26 million valuation of long-term target David Luiz was a little on the stupidly, prohibitively rich side – only to be told that the 21-year-old Dane was indeed keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.

Now, obviously this call all be horse-cock and poppy-feathers, but wouldn’t it be bloody lovely if it were true?

    David Luiz >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Kjaer

  2. Pedro says:

Yeah, “stupidly, prohibitively rich side”, as if Mafia backed clubs now have a divine right to buy the players we strive so hard to find and develop on the cheap. The man is going to be playing at the back for Brazil for the next 10 years. Pay up or fuck off back to Russia. Bloody Chelski.

  3. tottenham says:

lol at chelski you get what u pay for david luiz is a star

  4. John Motson says:

Seems pretty desperate from Chelsea, wasn’t the fact he ended up going to Wolfsburg and for fairly cheap an indication that none of the top clubs felt he was good enough.

Also, what’s the point, don’t they already have Terry, Alex, Ivanovic and Buhma?

  5. Ping Yang says:

@John, well we are pretty desperate. If our long drought was any indication, we lack in depth. So actually Kjaer sounds like a solid signing even if he is a back up. And its Bruma.

  6. WolfsburgFan says:

    No, please!!
    Stupid rich clubs!
Manchester City took Dzeko away and now Chelsea wants Kjaer!

  7. Bruno says:

He was outstanding at Palermo. A great player.

“stupid rich clubs”, says a Wolfsburg-supporter. Who is owning Wolfsburg, btw.?

  9. Stefano says:

“stupid rich clubs”, says a Wolfsbutg-supporter? Who is behind Wolfsburg? Right, the largest german company “VW” ownes 100 % of the club. They could buy bags fully packed with Chelseas, if they´re in the mood.

  10. Lindsey says:

    I agree with WolfsburgFan
These rich clubs keep trying to take our good players >.<

  11. Dan says:

@ Stefano, An auto company focuses on gaining wealth from producing cars. A rich Russian oil tycoon that gets his wealth literally out of the ground focuses on splashing money around for his own amusement.

He should invest in a legit academy that can produce something remotely close to the level of talent that he buys up from around the world on a whim.

    @Dan
Might want to have a look into who won the Youth FA Cup last year….
