Unsurprisingly, Hamburg striker Paolo Guerrero has just been slapped with an eight-game ban for his disgusting, studs-up assault on Stuttgart keeper Sven Ulreich’s fleshy bits at the weekend…

Awful tackle, malicious in it’s intent and execution. Considering it probably qualifies as GBH, I reckon our Paolo can consider himself to be bloody lucky to be getting away with having to spend the next eight games at home.

    Not that bad.

Disgusting tackle. Serves him right. I think though that these players should be forced to do more than just be banned for eight games, force them to serve community time, take away two weeks wages (Not that makes much of a difference).

I mean, in the real world if someone did this they would be slapped with assault and get buggered in jail. I think this twit should be forced to do a good amount of community time. It’s not like they serve any other purpose in society other than entertainment anyway.

YEAH GREAT TACKLE YOU ALMOST SAVED THE BALL AND SCORED NICE DUDE YOU ROCK

Quite ashamed to say I’m a Hamburg fan at the moment. Not only for the 4-0 thrashing, but for Guerrero to do something like this; it’s just stupid. He’s becoming a great player with us but his hot-headedness is just too intrusive. I consider him a mini-Suarez – South American, angry, but very prolific when he wants to be.

Not a leg breaker at least.

Far worse have gotten far less…

At least he didn’t say negro.

A bit unfair. I think he got some of the ball.

was there definitely contact? Looked like simulation to me

That is a poor tackle, there’s no two ways about that. Taking lessons from Scholes maybe!! Deserved a red card but 8 games, seems excessive.

Kick this piece of shit out of the game.

manager used to alwasy tell me that’s the quickest way to break your leg, trying to hold the ball up in the corner like that… keepers was more of a shield than a hold up… but still, the ban seemed appropriate to me. if the keeper was facing him he’d of surely broken his leg.
