Veteran Colombian international Gerardo Bedoya has a reputation of being an unhinged one-man mind mental with a rap sheet as long as you like, so it should come as little surprise that the 36-year old Independiente Santa Fe anchorman picked up his 41st (FORTY-FIRST!) career red card at the weekend against Millonairios for clubbing Yhonny Ramirez across the face with his elbow.

The sending off saw Bedoya become the player with the most career red cards (in the professional game) to his name and, upon realising his achievement, duly celebrated by raking his studs down Ramirez’s face as he lay prone on the ground…

Ramirez’s chewed-up face after the game…

It’ll no doubt warm your cockles to learn that Bedoya has since been fined 1,227,850 Colombian pesos (approx. £3,000) and been given a hefty 15-match ban for being such an over-aggressive little turd.
